COVID-19 Updates

Rules & Regulations Update

Due to the new mandate put in place by Governor Mills’ on Thursday, November 6, 2020, our facility rules and guidelines have been updated.

Hereon forth, all members will be required to wear a face mask within the facility. Times members DO NOT need to wear their face masks include:

  • When in a physical fitness class (Cardio Kickboxing, Adv. Kickboxing, Suspension Class, Bootcamp Class, and Older Adult Functional Fitness)
  • When performing a set with free weights or weight equipment (mask must be worn in-between sets)
  • When using cardio equipment

We understand the imposition of this mask mandate, and we appreciate your support through this time. If you wish to see change, please help us and yourselves by sharing your opinion with your local government. As always, we are here for our members. If you need anything, please reach out to us via Facebook, email (unitedfitness247@gmail.com), or by phone at (207) 377-2465.

GYM United Fitness is making it a priority to keep our staff and members safe during uncertain times. We are taking the following step in ensuring that our members will have access to our facility under the following guidelines:

-We are only allowing up to 12 members into the facility at any given time,

-No one will be allowed to congregate in the facility.

-Upon entry to the gym, members will be asked to leave their personal belongings in their cars and/or left in a designated area in the entry way or locker room

-Members will have a designated area, upon entry, to sanitize their hands. They will also be provided a clean and sanitized spray bottle and clean rag. Each spray bottle has a disinfectant that they will use on each piece of equipment. Staff will be watching all members and making sure that all equipment has been sanitized per CDC guidelines.

-The locker rooms and showers will be open to 2 members at a time, Restrooms will remain open and cleaned between use.

-Upon exit all members will return the spray bottles and rags. The spray bottles will be disinfected between each use and used towels washed every evening.

-Employees will remain 6 feet away from all members and are there to assist with questions, concerns and to make sure members are meeting our stringent guidelines.

-Any member that does not follow the above outlined guidelines will be asked to leave the facility and will not be granted access for 30 days.

-All group cardio classes have been modified,

Physical fitness is important at any stage of life but especially during this time. Fitness programs are proven to reduce cancer, strokes, depression, heart disease and high blood pressure. All of these health factors have been shown to increase the mortality rate of COVID19, all the more reason to allow people access to potentially lifesaving equipment.
